EDM superstar Skrillex is getting back to his screamo/punk-pop roots.

The DJ has turned in his turntables for a microphone to front his former band, From First To Last, on a brand new track, “Surrender.”

The song features a catchy, sing-along chorus (complete with a big F-bomb in the middle of it, so proceed with caution!) and surprisingly melodic vocals from Skrillex himself, AKA Sonny Moore.

From First To Last has shared the tune as a free download. Listen and grab yourself a copy right here.

“I don’t wanna make a big deal about it but i made a new song with my old band @FFTLAST and we decided to give it away for free in a few hours,” Skrillex himself chirped on Twitter.

Skrillex called in from Japan to our very own Stryker who debuted the song on KROQ. "We did this song and it was super organic," says Moore. "We don't really have any plans as of now. I think we all kind of went our separate ways for years and started reconnecting over the last couple of years as friends. We ended up just hanging out in the studio. We don't really have any other plans other than just putting this out right now."

Skrillex fronted From First To Last across two albums: Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount (2004) and Heroine (2006), before leaving the group to work on his EDM project and save his voice.
