Megan Holiday Helps Fan Meet Bastille at Almost Acoustic Christmas

Bastille and Briana

It was an absolute honor to get the opportunity to partner with Living The Dream Foundation to create a special moment for Briana Mills at this year's KROQ Absolut Almost Acoustic Christmas back in December. To give you a little insight on what Living The Dream Foundation does: "LTD Foundation strives to make dreams come true by granting All Access VIP days for music fans living with terminal illnesses so they can forget all they are going through and feel like the Rock Stars they truly are."

I was lucky to get connected with Kacie Quigly who works with LTD on creating these Dream Days and we thought it would be so special to create an experience at Acoustic Christmas. Kacie told me about Briana, who was born with SEPN1 Muscular Dystrophy and how much she loves the band Bastille.  With the help of our music director, Miles Anzaldo, and the kindhearted guys in Bastille, we were able to make Briana's dream of meeting the band into a reality. Briana had the chance to talk with Bastille, ask them questions, take selfies, grab autographs and then watch the show.  She said it was her first time attending Acoustic Christmas and that it was something she would never forget.

I am so grateful that I got to be a part of creating this experience.  It is moments like this where I am happy that I am able to use the platform of radio to try and do good within our community. Seeing the smile on Briana's face while she was talking to Bastille is something I will never forget.  I look forward to working with Living The Dream Foundation in the future to make more of these Dream Days happen at KROQ events.
