Happy February! Here’s some new Locals Only music we’re currently rocking to…

Billie Eilish - bury a friend

Billie Eilish’s lyrics and haunting vocals in her newest single, bury a friend, perfectly evokes the eerie tone of the title. Fans have speculated that this song was written after Eilish’s run-in with sleep paralysis, which she shared on her Instagram story. This single comes off of her upcoming debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? set to release on March 29th.

The Mowgli’s - Hard to Love

Sometimes it’s hard to love, but with The Mowgli’s, loving them is easy. Their newest single Hard To Love, comes from their upcoming EP, American Feelings, set to release on March 1st. Hard To Love is a “song about love and refusing to settle.” The Mowgli’s begin their Making Friends Tour with Jukebox the Ghost on February 26 and will be at The Fonda on March 6th.

The Moth & The Flame - Ruthless (album)

Three years after the success of their first self-titled album, The Moth & The Flame drops their second full length album, Ruthless. Writing this new album, TMTF pushed boundaries during the writing process. It’s the lyrics and intricate stories of this new album that makes it so special for not only the band, but also for the fans. TMTF are set to headline The Moroccan Lounge on April 3rd.

Weathers - Dirty Money

Alt-rock quartet, Weathers, may be a young band, but they know how to pack sound and brooding lyrics into their songs. They do just that with their newest single, Dirty Money. They’ll be playing a headline show at The Roxy on March 17th.

The Palms - Closer

Despite the current downpour occurring throughout SoCal, The Palms’ new single brings a sense of summer just being around the corner. Closer has you wishing you were somewhere sunny and 75, a beer in hand and your toes in the sand. Read more about their new single HERE.

SWIMM - Windows Up

SWIMM perfectly encapsulates the fluid and weightless sounds of indie-rock music in their newest single, Windows Up. Despite the title, this song is perfect to listen to with your windows down. Catch SWIMM with next weekend February 7th and 8th at the third annual, Love You Down III at the Echo & Echoplex.
