Today on Kevin & Bean we have GREAT NEWS stories for you. We find news stories that make you feel good and restore your faith in humanity to balance out all the bad news you hear on the news.

This morning Bean told us about a group of nurses from Centerville Illinois who pooled together enough money to pay the bond to get a father out of jail. Darius Hinkle was arrested for several violations after speeding to get his wife, Donecia Pittman and their 1-year-old daughter to the hospital because their daughter was choking on a penny. The baby girl was treated and is now doing well. When Pittman left Touchette hospital she went to the jail to bond out Hinkle, that’s when she heard someone say they were there to bond out Hinkle. Pittman didn’t recognize the woman, but she told her that she was a nurse from the hospital and they had gotten together to bond out Hinkle from jail. Both Hinkle and Pittman could not be more grateful for the kind gesture and cannot thank the nursing staff enough. This was Bean’s GREAT NEWS!!! Click here to read the whole story.

Kevin told us about Brother Peter Tabichi a science teacher from rural Kenya. He’s been known to give away 80% his salary to support poorer pupils. A majority of the students are from disadvantaged families some are even orphans. Many students walk 4 miles to get to the school and despite a lack of funding and resources his students have been successful in science competitions. They have competed and won awards in national and international science competitions. He has even been praised by the president of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta. Tabichi has also just won the 2019 Global Teacher Prize worth $1 Million Dollars. This was Kevin’s GREAT NEWS!!! Click here to read the whole story.

Today Allie told us about a 13-year-old named William Rabillo from Nevada who traded his XBOX gaming console and some yard work in exchange for a car. The car, however, was a gift for his mom. His mom, Krystal Preston was going through a rough patch and he wanted to do something to help her feel better. He surprised his mom with a 1999 Chevrolet Metro. Preston was overcome with emotion and started crying with happiness. She could not be happier with her car and is very happy that her 13-year-old son cares enough to help her out and buy her a car and help her feel better. This Was Allie’s GREAT NEWS!!!
