Get Up On This With Jensen Karp: Cherry Glazerr

Every Thursday morning Jensen Karp gets us up on something new

December 6, 2018

Every Thursday morning Jensen Karp brings our attention to something that we may not know about yet or something we may have overlooked in the past.

Now it's time to "Get Up On This."

This week Jensen introduces us to a band called Cherry Glazerr

Cherry Glazerr is a Rock band out of Los Angeles. The band is named after the NPR radio host with the same name, Chery Glaser, only she spells it normally. The guitar player and lead singer is Clementine Creevy who started her musical career at 15 years old as a solo artist under the name Clembutt.

In the past Cherry Glazerr has had a revolving door of members. The current lineup with Creevy includes bassist Devin O’Brien and drummer Tabor Allen. They played Coachella last year and they have already released two albums, so they are not an entirely new band, but one you should certainly know about. Their new album Stuffed & Ready will be released in early 2019 and it is a more polished Pop Rock New Wave sound. Recently there hasn’t been any rock bands that have anticipated album releases, but Jensen is very excited to hear Cherry Glazerr’s new album Stuffed & Ready. Listen to a few songs Jensen played for us this morning.

The new single from Cherry Glazer was released in November and Jensen can’t stop listening to it. It’s called Daddi.

They continue to show their music evolution with the release of another new song last week that is a perfect fit for KROQ called Juicy Socks.

This is a song from their 2017 Album Apocalipstick, that you could download now, it’s called Told You I’d Be With The Guys.

Kat Corbett has recently played them on her Sunday night KROQ Locals Only show. With the release of their new album they will be doing a lot of touring so be sure to check them out when they're performing near you.
