Dave Grohl Leaves Heavy Metal Tip on the Sunset Strip

September 11, 2018

Now that’s rock and roll.

After the Foo Fighters rocked Hollywood Boulevard with a surprise pop-up show at the Palladium recently, Dave Grohl did what any self-respecting rocker would do on a Sunday night in L.A.: dude hit the Sunset Strip.

Grohl and posse posted up at the legendary Rainbow Bar and Grill, where he kicked it with the people, threw back some brews and just turned the party all the way up, as Dave Grohl does.

Oh, but our man was not finished. When he was presented with a tab of $333.30, he was still sober enough to do the math and add $333 as the tip.

Why is that important? It’s important because it made Grohl’s bar tab at the legendary Rainbow Bar and Grill on the equally legendary Sunset Strip $666.30. The Number of the Beast. The official number of all that is head-banging and devil horns and heavy (expletive) metal.

How rock and roll is that? It’s pretty damn rock and roll, jack.

Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters return to SoCal on October 6th at Cal Jam 18 alongside Iggy Pop, Tenacious D, Garbage, Greta Van Fleet + more. Get tickets here.
