Chris Cornell Tribute Concert Coming to the Forum January 16th

Foo Fighters, Metallica, and more slated to perform

November 13, 2018

I Am The Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell was just announced and will feature performances by members of Chris Cornell's previous bands (Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave) plus the Foo Fighters, Metallica, Ryan Adams, and many more. The event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and "special guests" on Wednesday, January 16th at the Forum in Inglewood.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 16th at 10am via Ticketmaster.com.

One of the last times Chris Cornell performed at the Forum was at KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2015, where he played an incredible solo set that included covers of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" and John Lennon's "Imagine," as well as a slew of Audioslave and Soundgarden hits. Cornell made his final visit to the Forum in November 2016 for Temple Of The Dog's 25th Anniversary Tour. Cornell died a few months later in May 2017 of an apparent suicide.

“We are honored to have all these amazing artists and friends come together to pay tribute to and show their love and appreciation for Chris, his music and the mark he’s left on the world.  We look forward to sharing this night with all the fans,” said Vicky Cornell.

Proceeds from the concert will go to benefit the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, which helps children facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, and neglect. A portion of the proceeds will also go towards EBMRF, which is geared towards finding a cure for the rare skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa.
