Pearl Jam Announce New Album Release Date, North American Tour

Including two Los Angeles dates

After sending their fans on a huge scavenger hunt this weekend, Pearl Jam has finally answered the questions surrounding their cryptic social media messages and billboards. 

The band has announced that Gigaton, a word featured on billboards around the world, is the title of their upcoming album, set to be released on March 27th. 

Gigaton’s cover features Canadian photographer, filmmaker, and marine biologist Paul Nicklen’s photo “Ice Waterfall.” Taken in Svalbard, Norway, this image features the Nordaustlandet ice cap gushing high volumes of meltwater.

In addition to announcing the latest album, the band also rolled out a sweeping North American tour. The band had previously announced a European tour, which were thought to be their first tour dates of 2020. Now, it has been revealed that the band will tour North America before setting off across the pond. 

The tour includes two dates in Los Angeles at The Forum on April 15th and 16th. These shows will go on presale next week, but only through the band's official fan club and a Ticketmaster Verified Fan presale. To qualifiy, register now through Wednesday January 15th at 11:59pm for the Ticketmaster Verified Fan presale at The Ticketmaster Verified Fan presale will then take place on Thursday Jan 23rd at 10am.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 24th at 10AM.
