That classic Prince purple is recognizable anywhere, especially on the cover of Beck's new surprise EP. It's fitting given that the singer recorded new versions of a couple of his old songs, as well as a wide-ranging Prince medley tribute, at the "hallowed ground" of Prince's Paisley Park.

In a new Instagram post and Youtube video, the singer announced that the "Paisley Park Sessions" release was "a nearly impromptu jam" that includes a remedy of Prince songs "Raspberry Beret", "When Doves Cry", "Kiss", and "1999" - all wrapped into one track titled "The Paisley Experience". The EP also features newly recorded versions of "Where It's At" and "Up All Night".

The EP comes just ahead of Beck's newest album 'Hyperspace', which will be released on November 22nd.

In the behind-the-scenes video posted to the singer's official YouTube channel, Beck sports a classic Prince-purple outfit as he records in the Paisley Park Studios. "Every studio has its own life to it, a special energy," Beck says, seated on a funky purple armchair, "It felt very creative."

The full session will reportedly be available to watch on YouTube on November 18th.

The Paisley Park EP is available exclusively on Amazon now.
