Luckily, I have a pretty good system for making sure I don’t miss anything. KROQ, Local’s Only, Spotify, blogs…you know, the essentials.

So, I started a playlist for January 2012. Some old, some new, some in between. However, while I was crafting this playlist, I realized I wanted to collaborate with my friends and KROQ listeners and see if together, we can blow the roof off of other playlists.

I think we can.

So, here are some of my songs, and I would love it if you can throw in some of yours and that way, together, we rock out all the while spreading the joy of music all over this biatch.

Like I said, these are just songs that I have been listening to lately. Some of them just floated my way at the right time and some of them have been around for a hot minute, yet something about them works for me in this very moment. Some, are merely on a test run.

Radiohead have a giant double album of The King of Limbs remixes coming out next week — you can stream them over at The Hype Machine. They have also confirmed a tour in 2012, so start saving your money for Coachella now.

And kudos to Fallon and his music coordinator, who have had an amazing run of bands in the past two weeks.

Radiohead is celebrating the imminent release of their The King of Limbs remix album, TKOL RMX 1234567, with a special London event. With the original release smashing Last.fm charts, it should see a big reaction.

Today Last.fm Trends is looking at the scrobbles of the remixers and remixed alike, to see if these tracks will get a new lease of life.

Skimming just over 100,000 weekly listeners at their lowest over the past six months, Radiohead are certainly not short on fans – but new tracks could reinvigorate interest further and arrest that decline.

Moreover, association with The King of Limbs could boost the remixers themselves, a selection of whom are shown in the graph above. Artists like SBTRKT are rising sharply to catch up with established acts Caribou and Four Tet, and if they can tap into Radiohead’s fan base then they’ll be in luck.

Glastonbury-goers got a great surprise Friday, June 24th when Radiohead, after a performing hiatus of nearly 18 months, played a 75 minute, 14 song set at the Pilton, England festival. The majority of the songs the band performed were live debuts of tracks off their eighth LP, the recently released The King of Limbs.

Spinner reported that frontman Thom Yorke expressed on behalf of himself and the band that they were “massively nervous” about their spur-of-the-moment performance, but the audience’s reaction to the new songs was largely positive.

Radiohead’s next scheduled performance will be on the BBC program “Radiohead: The King of Limbs – Live from the Basement”, distributing worldwide on July 1st.

Weezer surprised their fans over the weekend with the release of a brand new music video…. featuring the song-stylings of Radiohead.

Casting the banshee cries and wicked wails of Thom Yorke aside, Rivers Cuomo dictates one of OK Computer‘s best with a taxing articulation. The familiar solos, the looming breakdown, even the crashes and turns of an android’s tormented existence are here – but Weezer takes the breath out of masterpiece.

No, better yet – they wheeze their way through it. Get it?

Taking on the greatest song of the 1990′s is an arduous task. Why Weezer chose to tackle it, tape it, and then throw it on the internet is beyond us. It does beg the question though… will Radiohead take the bait?

Because we’re stoked for they’re cover of “Only In Dreams.”

Thom Yorke, you never cease to intrigue me. I say never ever, not even once, not even just a little.

This coming Tuesday, March 29th, Radiohead will release a newspaper worldwide that they are calling The Universal Sigh. This will commemorate the release of  The King of Limbs  hitting record stores on Monday, March 28th.

There is nothing in the world I love more than a good ol’ fashioned scavenger hunt. Hopefully, you like to dabble in the mysterious as well, because this latest project of theirs is cloaked in mystery.

On Tuesday at 1pm, specific newsstands all over the world will carry The Universal Sigh for FREE. That’s right, for FREE.  This newspaper has nothing to do with the “newspaper album” that is attached to The King of Limbs Package. This is a completely separate beast.

Not all newsstands will carry it though and the ones that do will only carry them while supplies last. After that, consider it a collector’s item.

So here’s the deal, I have no idea WTF this newspaper is all about.  In fact, the contents of it are but a minor detail in the grand scheme of this. I just think it’s brilliant.

As long as it has the name Radiohead attached to it, I am more than likely beyond interested in the product.

Now, the big question is, “Where do I get my free Radiohead newspaper?”

Radiohead have been kind enough to build a website around the newspaper by the same name, as a companion if you will, called theuniversalsigh.com. If you want details on what newstand nearest to you will carry the newspaper, then head on over and figure it out!

It looks like I’ll be sleeping by a newstand on Monday night. Won’t you join me? I’ll bring the whiskey and some blankets.

Radiohead front man and all around talented dude Thom Yorke is collaborating with electronica gurus Burial and Four Tet. They’ll be releasing their new material through Four Tet aka Kieran Hebden’s record label, Text. The 12″ is set to be released March 21st, but limited to only 300 copies, meaning it will probably sold out by the time you read this…

Luckily for you, two songs “Ego” and “Mirror” have found their way onto the internet. Check out the tracks after the jump.
