Los Angeles based indie rock darlings Best Coast are set to release their sophomore album The Only Place May 15th on Mexican Summer Records.
Recorded at Capitol Records’ legendary Studio B with producer/composer Jon Brion, this full length 11 track LP will showcase a richer, cleaner, and slightly more intricate version of the band’s signature lo-fi surf rock sound.
As with their previous recordings this album features the songwriting, vocals, and rhythm guitar of Bethany Cosentino with multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno playing lead guitar, bass and drums.
Since releasing their critically acclaimed debut album “Crazy For You” in 2010 they’ve been featured on a myriad of specialty radio programs and have played what seems like every major music festival. They hit the road in support of their new album with a spring tour kicking off on May, 18th at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles.
