” Joanna - Miss DD 2012 Let me first say THANK YOU to everyone who made this weekend happen. Watching Acoustic Christmas online is one thing, perfect angles, great shots, good lighting, sound-impeccable. But in person, I was astounded at the amount of effort and synchronization that had to have gone into such an incredibly fun, smooth, and bitchin’ event.

I am SO glad I was chosen to be a part of the experience. And I am sorry to say that everything I saw and experienced was not even a tenth of what was happening around me. I am going to have to watch all the highlights to see what I missed when I was mingling on the patio and in line for cocktails and (thank you bartender) chips and skittles, yum!

Night one, as some may know, started off like a train wreck at someone’s funeral…

Kevin & Bean’s Miss Double…Early Friday morning, The Kevin & Bean Show set up shop at the Slidebar Rock N Roll Kitchen in Downtown Fullerton for Kevin & Bean’s Miss Double D-cember 2012 Pageant. By 6am, the venue was at capacity and beers were flowing.

The group of 9 women (one dropped out for personal reasons) gathered in wee hours, helping each other with outfits, makeup etc. They all brought their best for the pageant which consisted of 3 parts: the ever-popular swimsuit contest, the talent show and interviews.

The field of 9 was then narrowed down to 3, followed by Ralph revealing the winner of the Miss Double D-cember 2012 Pageant – Joanna!

Kevin & Bean’s Miss Double…9:50 AM: Big thanks to all of our KROQ patrons who made it down to Slidebar during the wee hours of the morning, and to the wonderful work of Toys For Tots for making this more than a beauty pageant.

9:40 AM: And the winner is…..Joanna!

9:27 AM: Top three finalists: Joanna, Lux, and Michelle.

9:20 AM: Dieu To is here, and funny enough his applause rivals any one of our big-chested competitors.  Yes, Dieu To is a real life walking human being.  He jumped into the belly of the crowd and was greeted with enough hugs and handshakes that would make Bradley Cooper jealous.  I think KROQ has discovered it’s latest homegrown celebrity.

There’s a fantastic feeling of camaraderie in the air with good reason.  Beer and boobies are running amok.

9:05 AM: A group of women wearing fake mustaches is present.  Not sure if they know Halloween has expired, but with the astronomical degree of perversion in the area I’m sure there’s a couple dudes with mustache fetishes.

It’s a party atmosphere in here.  If you’re familiar with Slidebar and how crazy packed it gets over the weekends, multiply that by four.  Cheers to afternoon hangovers!

Michelle Strips N' Spells With Ralph

8:50 AM: The second round of interviews seems to have ignited our competitor’s bisexual tendencies.  Michelle said she would date Dita Von Tease.  Lux said she would spend her final days on Earth having sex with a female audience member (prompting several attendees a visit to the bathroom for some heavy thinking).  Sierra’s question as to where she would like to have a wild sexual encounter was apparently too complex as she didn’t provide an answer.  Too many to pick I guess?

I was too distracted by Angela’s giant melons to remotely care what she had to say, and I think the crowd felt the same.

Of all the Miss Double D-cembers, Christine must have been the most fun. She was up for anything. She was the first winner to actually take advantage of everything the title has to offer; Concerts, new friends, business relationships and more.

Christine, Miss DD, participates in a flash mob in HB

The U.S. Open of surf was once again the enormous summer event. Over a quarter million people headed to Huntington Beach over the past two weeks to catch a glimpse of the world’s best surfers and countless bikini-clad OC girls.

It was an advertiser’s dream. Zillions of people tightly packed into one small area. Yeah, Nike was the title sponsor, and along with its smaller sister company, Hurley, owned your eyeballs. But they weren’t the only companies making waves.

Sydney.com quietly formed a flash mob of swimsuit wearing men and women to get some attention right in the middle of the action. And, as you’ll see from Christine’s video, they had some fun and turned some heads.Watch Christine’s flash mob video!
