Watch LA Font’s New Music Video For “Sharks”

KROQ Locals Only band LA Font has just released a new video for their single “Sharks,” which can be frequently heard on Kat’s Locals Only Show on Sunday nights.

“Well, the director, Hank Friedmann, pitched this idea that we’d shoot the video at McDonald’s but replace all the Mickey D’s logos with “LA Font,” basically as a satire on branding and repeating a logo until it becomes part of your psyche,” says LA Font’s Greg Katz.

“When we shot it, we basically danced around a bunch of McDonald’ses and threw hamburgers, which might not say that much about the cynicism of brand marketing, but it was fun/gross. Also, there is a doggy in it.”

KROQ Locals Only band Neo Geo recently released a new video for their single “DT Killer.” The band will be heading out on some of the Western dates of the Vans Warped Tour this summer.

According to their Youtube page, “‘DT Killer’ was filmed at a bizarre location in Los Angeles. This secret spot is normally rented out to professional dominatrices. All the props you see in the video such as the bird cage, coffin, and chain wall are all actually used by the professional girls and their clients.”

Best Coast Gives Away “The Only Place” Album Title Track For Free

Los Angeles based indie rock darlings Best Coast are set to release their sophomore album The Only Place May 15th on Mexican Summer Records.

Recorded at Capitol Records’ legendary Studio B with producer/composer Jon Brion, this full length 11 track LP will showcase a richer, cleaner, and slightly more intricate version of the band’s signature lo-fi surf rock sound.

As with their previous recordings this album features the songwriting, vocals, and rhythm guitar of Bethany Cosentino with multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno playing lead guitar, bass and drums.

Since releasing their critically acclaimed debut album “Crazy For You” in 2010 they’ve been featured on a myriad of specialty radio programs and have played what seems like every major music festival. They hit the road in support of their new album with a spring tour kicking off on May, 18th at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles.
