Kevin & Bean have always had a fascination with making staffers perform “talents” on-air that they clearly suck at. It’s just plain funny.

Although everyone here is a music lover, it doesn’t mean that any of us can rap. Just to the contrary. Everyone is absolutely horrible at rapping and Lisa May’s certainly no exception.

So, how ’bout this for a funny way to award tickets to The 54th Annual Grammy Awards®… Lisa May takes hugely popular songs from Kanye West and raps the lyrics. To make it harder on her, Kevin & Bean refuse to let her hear the beat. Contestants are left to decipher the lyrics based on Lisa’s rap.

Although Lisa doesn’t fancy herself a hip hop impresario, she kills the mic when the beat drops.

Kevin & Bean had a pair of Coachella 3-day passes to give away and it seemed the funniest way to do it was by having listeners guess which Dr. Dre/Snoop song she was rapping. Seems easy? Not when Lisa rocks the mic right.

Turns out she can throw down! This is too good to miss.

While Pearl Jam are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band this year they say they have plans  to hit the studio in April to begin work on a new album. To commemorate this achievement in rock n’ roll the band will have deluxe reissues of 1993′s Vs. and 1994′s Vitalogy, plus an outdoor concert festival and the release of a Cameron Crowe-directed documentary.

In the meantime Eddie Vedder and bassist Jeff Ament are spending their time finishing up their solo records.

By now you probably know that I’m into animals. Kevin & Bean tease me endlessly about expressing my dog’s anal glands. But, as a pet-lover, you gotta do what you gotta do.

I’m completely speechless.

I just finished watching the first episode of the new season of Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab, and these people – holy crap! Dennis Rodman is truly the biggest douche on the planet, Heidi Fleiss’ face has become a freaky mask –  a warning against too much plastic surgery and meth – and crazy Tom Sizemore hasn’t even shown up yet.

This is going to be the saddest, best, most compelling season yet. I’m ashamed to be this excited, but I am!

Yup. That’s my Christmas present from Kevin & Bean. Lucky girl, right?

I scored again!

Every year Kevin and Bean call QVC and buy whatever is on the screen at that exact moment for my birthday and for Christmas, and Polly Puppy was my very special gift this year. They spent a whole $18. She barks, she begs, she sits, she walks. Well, she would have if I could have gotten the freakin’ battery door open. But nope. Finally had to pry it off. Then I couldn’t get it back on. You know what I ended up with in the end? Four batteries that cost $18.

Can’t wait till next year!

That’s it. I’ve gotten all I could ever need or want for Christmas with R. Kelly’s new song “Pregnant”. We’ve been playing it on the Kevin And Bean show for the last three days and nothing could make me happier. Has a more romantic song ever been written?????

Why do you know the name JoBeth Williams? She’s probably most famous as part of the ensemble cast in The Big Chill and for her role as the mom in Poltergeist. In recent years she’s been doing guest starring roles in TV shows like Dexter, but right now you can see her on stage at the Pasadena Playhouse.

Yup – we had another Kevin and Bean Singles Party this past Friday. It was at Bardot, in Hollywood – a place most of us from the morning show probably couldn’t get into if we just showed up at the door. It was sweet revenge from all those mean dudes that guard those doors like they’re really doing something important. Ha!more

Yesterday I heard an interview with the makers of The Cove – a documentary about the secret slaughter of dolphins by a small group of people in an isolated cove in Japan. It’s heartbreaking, and moved me to go to their website to see what I could do – signing letters, etc. more

I loved Star Trek when it came out a couple of months ago, and I thought Chris Pine was great as Captain Kirk. Does that mean he’s a great actor? Not necessarily. Put an actor on a stage, though, and it’s generally easy to answer that question. Chris Pine is on stage right now at The Geffen Playhouse, and let me tell you, that guy is an ACTOR.more
