Adam Carolla Returns To TV

Variety reports that NBC has ordered a pilot for a sitcom starring our very own Adam Carolla. The show, with the radio personality as a contractor picking up the pieces after his wife leaves him, is another run at a sitcom for Adam, whose pilot “Ace In The Hole” was not picked up by CBS after a pilot was shot last year.

Carolla, who hosted the morning drive show on CBS Radio’s FM talker KLSX-FM until early last year, has more recently become a star in the podcasting world. His other credits include “Dancing With the Stars,” TLC’s “The Adam Carolla Project” and voice work on “Crank Yankers” and “Drawn Together.”

Adam also knows a thing or two about being a contractor, having worked in the construction industry before his big break as a radio personality on KROQ.

Carolla’s former KROQ/Los Angeles co-hort and “The Man Show”/”Crank Yankers” co-creator Jimmy Kimmel and former “Man Show” co-creator-producer Daniel Kellison are among the producers of the show, along with Kevin Hench (co-host of a sports podcast distributed by Carolla’s podcasting company and co-writer of Carolla’s movie “The hammer”), former network executives Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, “30 Rock” producer Jon Pollack, and James Dixon.

Bottom line, congrats Ace. We can’t wait to watch the show. Hurry up and get it on the air already!

Miss Double D-cember’s Vegas Top 10 Hot Spots

I’m heading to Vegas this week to celebrate the end of the semester. I’ll be getting hammered with the same people I spent the last four months copying off of in class.

Come find me at any of these places if you end up in the City of Sin this weekend too!

10. Stoney’s – Awesome country music nightclub. Thursdays are $1 drink night and you can’t beat that!

9. Blue Martini – Best intimate lounge in Vegas. It’s mellow, so I like it here on my recovery nights when my head’s still pounding from the night before.

8. Hooters Casino – Find me at the Blackjack table. It’s the only game I play, and I play it well!

7. Cabo Wabo Cantina – My go to spot when hunger or thirst suddenly hits during a shopping marathon. Awesome food, great drinks and decent prices.

6. Ghostbar at the Palms – The club is on the very top floor of the hotel and the views are amazing!

5. Margaritaville – This was the last place I remember being on my 21^st birthday. Drinks are strong and not too expensive. Plus, the super laid back environment makes it my number one day drinking spot.

4. Pure at Caesars Palace – The lights and decor make this place one of my favorite places to party in Sin City. Not to mention it’s next to the Pussycat Dolls’ Lounge so you can watch them dance while waiting in line. And if you’re really lucky you might catch me dancing on a table here.

3. Wasted Space at Hard Rock – Love it here! Live bands and awesome beer. What more could a girl ask for? Oh, that’s right, a run-in with Carey Hart. Yum!

2. Rain at the Palms – On Saturday night you will definitely find me here at some point.

1. Tryst Nightclub at the Wynn – For nights when I feel like dressing up to the max, you can probably spot me on one of their plush chairs with a drink in hand.
