For Weezer, vacations just aren’t an option.
“I say less breaks,” said Pat Wilson, the band’s drummer, after being asked by KROQ DJ Stryker about the band taking more time away from the grind. “I say why stop now?”
“The cycle of making a record and having it come out and waiting for it to be in production and doing the artwork—it’s a lot longer than people realize,” added guitarist Brian Bell. “The record was done six months before it came out,” he shared in regards to Weezer’s latest full-length, Pacific Daydream. “That’s a long gap for a musician to not make music, you know? So in the meantime, we work on other things.”
