Social Distortion’s Mike Ness called in to speak with Kat Corbett about the Ohana Festival – taking place this weekend at Doheny State Beach. Social D will be performing Friday night alongside the Pixies, TV On The Radio, The Orwells and more. Jack Johnson and Eddie Vedder headline the additional nights.

“I like this festival because it’s quality, not quantity,” says Ness. “I don’t like it when there’s 100 bands playing, one band is playing while another band is playing… why would you do that?”

Friday’s show will also wrap up the band’s current tour. “I love it when you’re doing a show like this after a long run because you’re in peak form. You’re playing every night and it’s like second nature,” Ness adds.
