Could this be the first step toward a reconciliation?

Tom DeLonge has publicly extended the olive branch to Travis Barker as only he can—in the form of a bro-date at a water park.

DeLonge tweeted at Barker today requesting the two get together at a new and massive water park in Garden Grove, located about half way between their respective homes in San Diego and Los Angeles. “Let’s go to Great Wolf Lodge in OC and do water slides together and post it for fans..” said DeLonge.

Barker responded positively with, “Ha Ha, I’m in 100.”

The offer to meet comes just days after DeLonge took to Facebook to remind fans he hadn’t actually quit the band. “I’m actually talking to Travis about us right now… Never did quit, remember?” he said in a post last Tuesday (June 21). DeLonge’s response appeared to be provoked by an article that stated he left the band to “focus on UFOs.”

More fuel was added to the fire when a video student edited Blink-182’s Bored to Death video to include scenes with Tom DeLonge.

In an interview with last September, DeLonge was clear about his reasons for pulling away from the band he’d founded. The decision to re-prioritize his life, putting Blink-182 on the back-burner was a difficult, and life-changing one.

And, according to DeLonge, it wasn’t until KROQ posted a press release issued by his bandmates that he realized he was no longer an active member in the band.

Could some laughs over a session on a waterslide lead to a reunion?
