Yesterday afternoon The Kevin & Bean Show came across an article on TheLeadSports about a guy named Jesse Sandler, who was just another Lakers fan when he bought tickets on StubHub to what he thought might be Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game. This took place November 11th – 3 weeks before Bryant announced his retirement to the world.
The 4-pack of tickets he originally purchased for $900 then sky-rocketed in price to $6,000. Rather than cash in on the tickets, he planned to hold on to them so him and his buddies could be at Staples Center to witness Bryant’s final NBA game.
StubHub then notified him that his tickets were being taken away and they couldn’t fulfill the order.
“I feel like if I bought a car, then a couple of weeks later they came back and said ‘sorry it’s not your car anymore,'” says Sandler.
