Coldplay took KROQ fans on an “adventure of a lifetime” this past Saturday night, celebrating the upcoming release of their new album A Head Full Of Dreams with a live performance from the Belasco Theater in Downtown LA.
The show was livestreamed from the Belasco Theater in Downtown LA on TIDAL.com for fans worldwide to enjoy a collection of hits like “Yellow” and “Viva La Vida,” as well as the debut of 3 new songs: “A Head Full Of Dreams,” “Amazing Day,” and “Up&Up.”
The original concert was slated for Friday, November 13th, but was postponed due to the attacks in Paris earlier that day. The band performed an intimate acoustic set (including a cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine”) in place of their planned high-energy show.
Coldplay had the entire audience lit up with lazers and spewed star-shaped confetti over the fans just 3 songs in when they hit “A Sky Full Of Stars,” the massive single from 2014’s Ghost Stories.
Before performing the final song of the night, Chris Martin exclaimed “this is the song we’ve been waiting to write for 15 years!” before jumping into the debut of their new song ‘Up&Up.’
