The National have been working on a compilation album with many indie rock stars covering the music of the Grateful Dead for many years now. It appears the project may finally be seeing the light of day.

Musicians contributing to the project include The War On Drugs (“Touch Of Grey”), Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Sharon Van Etten, The Walkmen (“Ripple”), Tunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio (“Playin’ In The Band”), Unknown Mortal Orchestra (“Shakedown Street”), Kurt Vile (“Box Of Rain”), and many more.
