In an extensive interview with Stereogum, members of The National went into great detail about their career at this point. One of the big revelations coming from the interview is the news of the compilation’s release in early 2016. As it stands, it’ll be a massive release.

Aaron Dessner points out that The National have received around 70 contributions to the project. Musicians contributing to the project include The War On Drugs (“Touch Of Grey”), Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Sharon Van Etten, The Walkmen (“Ripple”), Tunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio (“Playin’ In The Band”), Unknown Mortal Orchestra (“Shakedown Street”), Kurt Vile (“Box Of Rain”), and many more.
