LA’s Darkroom Kicks Off KROQ Retrospective Photo Exhibit October 7

Author: Cody Black | Web Producer

Hey guys!

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Cody and I run the web stuff here at KROQ, everything from the website and social media to our video/webcast productions and photography.

I’ve been here for almost 6 years now and I’ve been shooting photos for the station since my first Weenie Roast in 2010. I’ve shot everything: huge KROQ concerts, red carpets, in-studio interviews and performances, KROQ winner experiences, and so much more.

I’m excited to announce that beginning this Wednesday (October 7), The Darkroom in Los Angeles will be hosting a 2-month long photo exhibit, titled ‘Exposed ROQ,’ featuring 17 of my favorite images of artists like Travis Barker, Dave Grohl, Brandon Flowers, 311, and Rage Against The Machine.

My exhibit will be following up the current 80’s punk retrospective by photographer Edward Colver, who captured some incredible images of bands like Black Flag, Social Distortion, Circle Jerks and more.

Come celebrate the opening with me this Wednesday, October 7th. We’ll have $1 specialty cocktails from 8-10pm. Bar Manager, Spenser Genesy, is set to present two “transformative” cocktails that evolve with each sip, like the whiskey-based “Rodney on the Rocks” and tequila-based “Jane Says.”

If you can’t make it to the opening, please stop by The Darkroom now through December 7th and have a look!
