Well, we knew the streak couldn’t last, but we had a good thing for a while, right? Pregame.com’s RJ Bell picked perfectly for two weeks, then had a colossal disaster of a Week 3, going (1-2) with his picks last week.
But it’s OK, we get back up, we brush ourselves off, and he may only be “Mr. 78%” now, but he’s still our man. He returns this week to redeem himself, with a slate of games he feels good about.
Underdog Special: Houston Texans +6.5 vs. Atlanta Falcons
RJ believes the Falcons are lucky to be (3-0), and they are the first team in NFL history to do that after trailing in the 4th quarter in those 3 games. Houston dominated in their game against the Bucs last week, making them more impressive.
Best Best: Washington Redskins +3 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles won last week, looking more like that team everyone thought was a Super Bowl contender. However; Philly only had 231 yards on offense against the Jets last week, and they have the third-worst yardage differential in the NFL.
Who has the best yardage differential in the league? The Redskins.
The game is expected to be hit with bad weather, and RJ gives the edge to Washington, the running team.
Big Game: New York Jets -1 vs. Miami Dolphins (in London)
The Jets are pretty much the team that people think, but the Dolphins, 4 weeks in, are already in turmoil. Their defensive line has given up 160 yds rushing per game, and isn’t sacking anybody. The team got booed in the home opener last week, and coach Joe Philbin may be in trouble.
