Modest Mouse‘s sixth studio LP and first in eight years, Strangers to Ourselves, made a splash when it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 this past March, and their single “Lampshades on Fire” has been a major hit on alternative and rock radio stations.
Now, with a lengthy summer tour of the U.S. scheduled, fans will be able to experience the new songs in person.
Already announced were a series of festivals for May and June, including an appearance at Sasquatch, but now the Portland-based group will be playing their own headlining dates come August, including a stop at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on August 21st (buy tickets here).
The band will also appear at a number of late-summer fests, including Portland’s MusicFest NW and Austin City Limits.
