Imagine Dragons dropped their new album, Smoke + Mirrors yesterday (Feb. 17) and celebrated by hitting the Tonight Show stage.

The guys performed their latest track “Shots,” a jittery apology from frontman Dan Reynolds for everything he’s done.

In an interview with yesterday, Reynolds admitted the song’s pounding instrumentation may sound happy, but the lyrics are rather melancholy. A theme throughout the new album. No, fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

But, he also admitted that somehow during this performance he managed to split his pants in two places.
