It’s no secret that Bean is clumsy.
Over the years Kevin has devoted many segments to telling the stories of his partner’s hilarious accidents. Bean has knocked himself out on ceiling fans, driven a moped into a wall, nearly chopped off several fingers in the jaws of a reclining chair, thrown his back out putting pants on and the list goes on. He’s often shown up to work with bumps and bruises that he can’t even account for.
But Sunday night’s accident could be the mother of all Bean-cidents. As several DJs stood at the edge of the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas stage in hopes of a grand introduction for No Doubt, Bean took one too many steps backward and tumbled off the six foot tall stage. Standing next to Bean was Dr. Drew, who spared no time in jumping down into the precipice to help his fallen comrade (as seen in the video below). While the majority of the sold out crowd gasped in horror, some long time Kevin & Bean fans thought it was merely another prank, especially because Jimmy Kimmel, a known prankster, was on stage at the time.
After a thorough check by paramedics, Dr. Drew and Dr. Mo, Bean was released and given ice packs for his aches and pains. It’s agreed by all who witnessed the fall, Bean was incredibly lucky to walk away with only a few bumps and bruises.
Fans immediately took to social media.
Thanks to Dr. Drew’s wife, Susan Pinsky, we have footage of the accident from just a few feet away.
Here’s Bean’s fall again, but in slow-motion. Enjoy the clip slowed down 8x.
