With an upcoming album titled Playland, you wouldn’t expect Johnny Marr, best known as former guitarist and songwriter for The Smiths (though also notable as a solo artists and a brief member of Modest Mouse), to be staying at home this fall.
Coinciding with the October 6 release of his sophomore solo album (via Warner Brothers), Marr has scheduled extensive touring behind the record. After a multi-week run through his home of the UK and Western Europe, Marr will head over to the U.S. kicking off with a November 9 show at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C.
The American dates include multiple nights in San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as more off-the-map stops in Asbury Park, Sacramento, Eugene, Aspen, and Columbus. Check out the full itinerary of currently planned tour stops below (via CoS).
