Dub Show Anaheim 2014 — Through the Eyes of a Nine-Year-Old

The photos above were shot by Quinn (9) and Gavin (12). they were luggin’ around dad’s old Canon 50D. With the battery grip on the bottom, it’s bigger than their heads and probably weighs more. I didn’t tell them which cars to shoot. They picked the shots. Except for the one of the model posing. I may have had something to do with that one.

It was strange… I’ve dragged them to Cars & Coffee and various car shows over the past few years but for some reason they were drying to check out this show. Was it the music? I don’t think so. Was it the spokes-models? Nah, they’re not old enough to appreciate them. I think it must have something to do with their recent fascination with racing games on Xbox and PlayStation. Oh, and I suppose all the Fast & Furious movies I’ve subjected them to since they were born may finally be having an effect.

Anyway, a big thanks to Myles, John and Roman at Dub Magazine for letting us in to shoot before they opened the gates. It was a fun day in the million-degree Anaheim heat. Oh, and one more big thanks to the crew at Raceline Wheels for the ice cold water. You guys were a life-saver.

The next Dub Show Tour stop is at SEMA in November, which is an industry-only event. But don’t worry, I’ll be there snappin’ pics.
