The digital age rendered the VHS obsolete but Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher have been diving into dumpsters and dusty dollar bins to dig up some of the most bizarre video cassettes tapes ever recorded. These guys have curated a spectacular collection of strange and ridiculous videos that run the gamut from public access preachers to embarrassing home movies. The lost, and forgotten footage, is now being screened all over the country as The Found Footage Festival takes volume seven of their bizarre video treasures on tour. This haunting interactive theatrical play is an absolutely disturbing experience. The blacked out theater puts you within just a few feet of your worst nightmares as the performers probe your deepest and darkest psychological torments in “Urban Death.” The play consists of short, episodic scenarios, that taunt your phobias and fears. You can feel feet shuffling, and hear heavy breathing, while you sit in absolute darkness not knowing who, or what, you’ll find standing before you when the lights come on. Every sci-fi aficionado knows all too well the genius of this murderously macabre masterpiece.
