Legendary shoe brand Vans has a history of collaborating with bands, creating unique and limited edition shoe collections. Vans has just announced that they will be reissuing several of these shoes at music, art, and film festival – SXSW!
The shoes will be reissued daily at noon, starting March 12th, at the Vans Village location of the festival. Only 50 pairs of each shoe will be available – so be sure to be one of the first in line! After March 15th, Vans will have a limited supply of 100 additional pairs available on their website. Each pair will run between $70-$75.
The chosen shoes include:
Circle Jerks “Old Skool” – March 12th
This “Old Skool” style sneaker, originally released in 2007, features the cover art of the band’s 1980 debut album, Group Sex. This shoe is also made from 100% vegan materials, at the band’s request.
Motörhead II “Rowley Classic” – March 13th
Originally released in 2006, this black-on-black sneaker’s color scheme was chosen by Lemmy himself! This shoe is also the second collaboration that Motörhead has had with Vans.
Bad Brains “Sk8-Hi” – March 14th
One of three styles that were originally released in 2009, these sneakers display the band’s iconic lightening bolt logo from their 1982 debut album on the sides.
Rise Against “Classic Slip On” – March 15th
This “Classic Slip On” style sneaker is the second collaboration with the band, as they also released a previous shoe in 2007. This one, originally released in 2010, displays the band’s 2008 cover art to their album, Appeal To Reason.
