Valentine’s Day is this Friday. Did you get your significant other anything special? We’re gonna go ahead and guess no, but don’t worry, we have a few ideas to get you through the weekend.
First, how about a trip up to Bear Mountain on Friday? The snow, the mountain, it’s perfect. By the way, we’ll be there every Friday in the month of February in case you can’t make it.
Then, after hanging in the snow all day, you can head down to The Forum to catch Imagine Dragons.
Follow that up Saturday with a trip to the South Coast Plaza. Did we mention Stryker is gonna be there at the Sony store?
Finish up the weekend at the Queen Mary for the Scots Festival. There’ll be music and a whole bunch of Scottish food.
Boom. Valentine’s weekend is handled.
Fullerton: We can’t think of a better way to spend our Monday morning than soaking in the So Cal rays. We will be making the drive to Fullerton and stopping at Craig Park to enjoy the beautiful foliage from the comforts of our KROQ rig. We promised ourselves that this year we will take the initiative to work out so let’s see if that’s a possibility. We will make progress soon enough for Coachella!
Costa Mesa: The 2014 OC Music Awards Showcase Series continues with night six at the Boathouse in Costa Mesa with performances from Mikey Pauker, Katastro, Solution, Wheeland Brothers and The Originalites starting at 8pm. Come out and support local music and receive giveaways from Wahoo’s, Ernie Ball, Guitar Center, Audiofly, popchips and more. Visit www.ocmusicawards.com for more info.
Burbank: The City of Burbank offers a lot of great sites so we will be posting hints all day where we will be making a pit stop! Burbank holds a lot of movie and television studios and although we don’t have access to get a private tour of these facilities we will be walking around attempting to be discovered for the latest motion picture! A person can dream…right?
Lakewood: There isn’t much time to waste; we need to purchase a Valentines gift today! We will be driving to the Lakewood Mall to pick out a gift or two. What last minute gift will you be purchasing? Let us know and we will see you at the mall!
Big Bear: We can’t think of a better place to spend Valentine’s Day than at Bear Mountain! Bring your boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband, crush, blind date etc. to the slopes! Not only will you catch a great weekend of fresh powder, but you‘ll also be able to hang out with the KROQ Crew from 10 am to 4pm. They will be playing your favorite KROQ love jams by request.
Inglewood: KROQ Presents Imagine Dragons at The Forum. These guys are on an adrenaline high with their recent Grammy win so this will definitely be one of their most memorable performances. If you were lucky to purchase tickets, we will see you at the show! KROQ will be at the event passing out sweet gear that will have your friends feeling a little bit jealous.
Costa Mesa: Hang out with Stryker and the KROQ Crew at the Sony store in South Coast Plaza from 2pm to 4pm. Browse through the great deals this store has to offer: computers, televisions, laptops, this store will cover all of your entertainment needs! Plus don’t forget to stop by and hang with us! We will be giving away some amazing prizes that you won’t want to miss out on!
Hollywood: We are recovering from our over indulgence of chocolate and candy so we are going to continue on our sugar rush by visiting all the candy shops in Hollywood (as many as we can at the very least). We will have a designated driver just in case things get a little out of hand when we eat too many jelly beans. Join us as we splurge and celebrate that we don’t need a holiday to celebrate being single…oh wait.
Long Beach: Join us at the Queen Mary’s Scots Festival in Long Beach which offers guests a glimpse into Scotland’s rich culture. There will be dancing, music and an array of Scottish cuisine. General Admission is $22 at the door and $18 online. Bring the kids too! $12 at the door and $8 online. KROQ will be setup at the event so come hang out with us and share with us some of your family heritage stories. See more at www.queenmary.com
