Alex Metric & Destructo Top Off The “UK To LA Tour” At Exchange LA

By JR Dominguez

A recent February show at top LA nightclub Exchange hosted the final installment of the UK 2 LA tour featuring UK producer Alex Metric and Gary Richards, aka Destructo of HARD LA. Starting in Miami, then taking a couple of days out to sea on Holy Ship!!! and finishing in Los Angeles, the UK 2 LA tour took the duo on a cross country tour, bringing their bumping sets to sweaty dance floors around America.

For years, Alex Metric has been providing uplifting funky UK vibes to the dance scene with Saturday’s set bringing all sorts of influences that spanned decades. Destructo played an amazing deep techy groovy yet lively set that propelled the party late into the night.

Way past last call at Exchange, hardcore party goers were treated to a B2B set featuring Alex Metic and Destructo with other special guests, most notably, Oliver and Wax Motif. The evening’s stacked lineup opened with the support of sexy house LA producers the Bixel Boys. Keep an eye out for these guys this year.
