Fred Durst is bringing his life story to the small screen.

According to TV GuideDurst is developing an hour long drama for the CW called The Noise that would chronicle the rise of a young artist in the ’90s who escapes a less than stellar home life to find popularity with his band, which just so happens to have a very unique sound. As you might recall Limp Bizkit, which formed in 1994, hit it big with their, at the time, unique rap metal sound, earning hits like “Nookie,” “Break Stuff” and their cover of George Michael’s “Faith.”

This is Durst’s, who is a co-executive producer on the script, second attempt at bringing a semi-autobiographical story to the small screen. Back in 2011, he developed and starred in a sitcom for CBS (’s parent company) about a rock star who was trying to balance his work and his family. The show never aired.
