Almost Acoustic Christmas: Photos, recaps, interviews, and more!

A hardcore slew of punk artists have contributed to the 26-song album, The Songs Of Tony Sly: A Tribute to honor the former No Use For A Name frontman. Frank Turner, Yellowcard, Rise Against, Bad Religion, NOFX, Pennywise, and more are just a few of the artists featured on the album honoring the tragically deceased punk rock veteran who died on July 31, 2012 at the age of 41.  The album will be released on October 29 with proceeds going to in order to help Sly’s wife and two daughters.

Fat Mike told NME that the record was created to “show how amazing Tony’s songs are.”

“You can tell a song is great when it can be done in any style and it’s still great,” Mike elaborated. “That’s what this comp is about. All the bands are doing No Use For A Name songs or Tony Sly songs with their own take. It’s a real tribute to his songwriting… These bands were his closest friends and his favorite bands. I thank all of them for stepping up and showing their love and respect to Tony and his family.”
