The men of Irish indie rockers Two Door Cinema Club arrived bright-eyed and fresh-faced to KROQ’s Party House on the morning of Coachella’s second day, melodically waking up bleary-eyed party people with a sweet acoustic noon set.
Running through songs like “Next Year” and “What You Know,” lead singer Alex Trimble’s voice soared through the hot desert skies as the intimate crowd of fans, friends and family relaxed poolside with ice blended lattes and even the first cocktails of the day.
The performance followed a brief interview with KROQ DJ Kat Corbett, where the guys discussed a wide range of topics, including the underwear preferences of Irish girls.
The group, who played Coachella two years ago admitted, “Sam and I came last year as punters (fan boys).” The conversation quickly went south as Corbett asked about Irish women’s underwear and mani-pedis. “My feet, they’re like dreams,” boasted frontman Alex Trimble.
