When Depeche Mode released their first album, Speak & Spell, in 1981 the went on a creative frenzy, issuing new records just about every year. But during the late 80’s, around Music for the Masses, they settled into a groove, dropping new albums about every four years. Due out this March, Delta Machine is right on schedule. “Heaven” is the first single off the record.

Spawned from the Silver Lake music scene, the Silversun Pickups are named after a liquor store across the street from Silverlake Lounge on Sunset Boulevard. Neck of the Woods is their third album with “The Pit” as the second second single.

The Lumineers are back on top with “Ho Hey,” and right behind them is Of Monsters and Men’s “Little Talks.” “Madness” by Muse moves up a few notches to #3, as do The Black Keys with “Little Black Submarines” at #4. Finishing up the top 5 is “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons.
