Almost Acoustic Christmas: Photos, recaps, interviews, and more!

Dim Mak Studios has always been the place to go for dance music on Tuesday nights. One of the longest running club nights in Hollywood, Dim Mak Tuesdays consistently brings out amazing and unique artists to their stage.

This past Tuesday featured DJ sets from the “Fonzie of dance music” himself, Drop The Lime, and DMC champion, Klever.

The night started off with Klever heating up the dance floor with his “energetic and powerful” sound. Hailing from Atlanta, Klever rose to the top of turntablism by  holding back to back USA DMC championships. Klever still rocks the ol’ 1’s and 2’s with a dynamic set ranging from dirty south trap to electro.

With the room heated up from Klever’s bass heavy beats, Drop The Lime took the stage with a 50’s style swagger reminiscent of the Rockabilly days of yesteryear. For those of you who have never heard of Luca Venezia aka Drop The Lime, his sound can be best described as Rockabilly meets electro. One thing that separates Luca from other DJs is that he performs his own vocals live on top of mixing with the decks. Seeing Drop The Lime as a DJ set kept me wanting more, like seeing his live show complete with his guitar, drummer, and backup singers.

Be sure to check out Klever’s soundcloud for tracks and mixes and peep the Drop The Lime website to hear more.
