Almost Acoustic Christmas: Photos, recaps, interviews, and more!

Rock stars are used to receiving gifts from their adoring fans, but it’s not every day those presents include religious text.

Such was the case for UK prog-rockers Muse recently, when the band was gifted with a copy of the Book of Mormon from a fan, who also sent along a note:

“This book changed my life, I give it to you with all my heart…”

“Weird fan gift,” Muse tweeted to the band’s followers on Twitter, along with a picture of the Book of Mormon and the fan’s note.

Muse recently spent quality time getting to know Vegas glamor boys (and avowed Mormons) the Killers at the MTV Europe Music Awards, causing Killers frontman Brandon Flowers to speculate on a possible collaboration between the two groups.

“We’ve become good friends with Muse. We get along so well, so I’d never rule out working together,” Flowers told the Sun. “We would be trying to outdo each other. It would be spectacular, the choruses would be huge.”

While Muse is gearing up to kick off the U.S. leg of their current world tour early next year, the Killers are currently marching across America, including a headlining date at the 2012 KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas alongside M83, Jack White, Passion Pit and more on December 9.
