Adam Horowitz, who Beastie Boys fans worldwide know better as “the king Ad-Rock,” has scheduled a somewhat mysterious solo date at small L.A. club Largo at Coronet.

The show, which is billed as “Ad Rock Presents And Performs With His Friends & NYC Sensation Bridget Everett,” is scheduled for Sunday, December 2, with tickets (which were still available as of press time) going for a mere $25 plus a minimal service fee. The event promises to be “a great night of music and comedy on Largo’s intimate stage.”

Everett is a raunchy comedian who often performs with her band the Tender Moments (who will be in tow for the L.A. show), known for bawdy and often hilarious songs like “Our Hit Parade” and “At Least It’s Pink.”

This will be Horowitz’s first L.A. show since the Beastie Boys were forced to cancel a scheduled 2009 show at the Hollywood Bowl when it was announced that band member Adam Yauch (AKA MCA) had been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his throat, which eventually took his life in May of this year.

Given the immense popularity of the Beastie Boys coupled with the tiny size of the Largo at Coronet means tickets should sell out quickly, so hardcore fans should snap them up before it’s too late.
