It was 21 years ago when Perry Farrell’s brainchild, Lollapalooza, ushered in a new and exciting way to experience the best of modern rock. Now, Lollapalooza has become the best three days of the year in Chicago and an international phenomenon. Farrell has just announced the show would return to Brazil in 2013 and make a stop in Chile for a third time.

The two festivals will share some – but not all acts – on their bills. Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Brazil will both welcome Pearl Jam, The Black Keys, deadmau5, and Queens of the Stone Age.

In addition to previously announced dates in Israel, South America gets another go in Brazil March 29-31 at Jockey Club de São Paulwith.

The festival will then trek across the continent to O’Higgins Park in Santiago, Chile, April 6-7th. The Hives, Kaiser Chiefs, Hot Chip, Alabama Shakes, Keane, Two Door Cinema Club, Nas, Foals, Major Lazer, The Temper Trap, Of Monsters And Men, Gary Clark Jr., Toro Y Moi will play both festivals.

Lollapalooza Chile also boasts The Killers, The Flaming Lips, and Cake. More info Lollapalooza Chile and Brazil.
