Radiohead To Collaborate With Jack White?

“This song is for Jack White,” Thom Yorke told the crowd during Radiohead‘s June 8th performance at Bonaroo. “We saw him yesterday. A big thank-you to him, but we can’t tell you why. You’ll find out.”

This “superhint” came before a triumphant performance of the new song “Supercollider.” Fans are hoping for a super collision of the two artists by way of a collaboration. Is something long form like the Atoms For Peace project in the works? Or will White’s Third Man Records release some kind of Radiohead record in the coming months? The latter is likely. Yorke and White probably met to hammer out the details at Third Man in Nashville, just a few hours from Manchester, where Bonnaroo was held.

Perhaps a one-off single is in store for fans. It was just last month, after all,  that the former White Stripes front man collaborated with Beck on a limited-edition record called “I Just Started Hating Some People Today.”

However, a full length album or EP release through Third Man does seem plausible based on the number of new songs that Radiohead has been teasing over the past few months. They debuted a new track titled “Full Stop” at a show in Cincinnati on June 5th. Two other new songs named “Identikit” and “Cut A Hole” were also debuted on the US tour. In any event, the news is welcome for fans of Jack White and Thom Yorke alike.
