Looks pretty good. The only glaring stand out I see is the rather long-in-tooth “Young Blood”. Great song, but I remember hearing it this time last year. Replace that with Gotye’s new single “Eyes Wide Open” and you’ve got one of the most up to date playlists I’ve seen from you guys in years!

  2. Sung says:

“Unity” by Shinedown should be added on the list.

does any1 know which version KROQ plays for Alex Clare – Too Close? It doesn’t quite sound like the original song. it kinda sounds like the Twelve Miles to Trona version…

  4. Nick says:

I can’t find a single instance of KROQ playing Linkin Park’s Burn it Down. Yet, it’s number one. I’m confused.

    1. Jay Tilles says:

Nick, you must not listen to often. We play “Burn It Down” almost every three hours. It’s totally unavoidable for regular listeners.

  5. Matt says:

    No new playlist this week??

  6. Kevin says:

Save for the Foo Fighters and the Offspring, I don’t think I like anything on that list. I don’t think I’ve listened to KROQ once this year aside from the few times I was up early and listened to Kevin and Bean live.
Anyone else dismayed at how soft KROQ has become? Isn’t there any new music with balls? What is with all this pansy sh*t?

    1. Pete says:

Pansy? Actually, I think KROQ is playing a great mix of indie, mainstream altrock, and punk! Hearing Offspring, Pennywise, The Briggs in heavy rotation has been awesome!

      1. Matt says:

Foo FIghters??? Seriously??? Pretty much everyone I know is sick of them being froce fed down our throats. They need to not go away, but have radio just back off of them for a bit.
