Good Eats: Californians Love The California Burrito

When people think of California, some think of the sun, palm trees, Hollywood, beaches, surfing, actors/actresses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and of course…California burritos.

Pepe’s Finest Mexican Food in Fullerton has one of the best spots to enjoy this big, beefy beauty.

The carne asada has a juicy marinate salted taste, pico de gallo has a spicy pop, guaca f***king mole, thick melted Monterrey jack cheddar cheese with french fries in a big tortilla. (Eat with green salsa and use plenty of napkins).

This massive burrito is so big you can eat one half for lunch and the other half for dinner and it’s located close to California State University Fullerton so you know the view is nice!

This spot is “Home of the Famous Breakfast Burrito” (which is pretty delicious) but I had to try this California burrito. It’s not listed on the menu, it’s hidden like you have be cool and top secret to order this bad boy! This California burrito is a total game changer and perfect for a food coma if you’re unable to sleep.

Pepe’s Cali burrito will run you $5.85 but is totally worth every penny with its filling feeling of satisfaction of good comfort food. This spot also has tacos, nachos, fries, tostadas, taco salads, burgers, quesadillas and chili cheese fries. Pepe’s Restaurants have been serving it up since 1962 and have locations in Anaheim, Brea, Downey and Fullerton.

Carne asada alone is good, carne asada wrapped in tortilla with all the good fixings is even better. This is place is your one stop for a satisfying burrito you fill up with deliciousness.
