Each week the KROQ Promo Crew will be looking for all the spots for delicious treats and good eats to get their grub on in SoCal.
Walking around Venice Beach, hearing the sounds of the drum circle, checking out all the cool hip shops and scenery could work up quite the appetite and thirst. Luckily, close by is a spot called Lemonade, described as “a high-end healthy cafeteria spot taken over by Wolfgang Puck.”
This place if off the chain with good eats. They have braises, soups, salads, deserts, sandwiches, land + sea, marketplace dishes and of course…you guessed it, lemonade!
They have lemonade options anywhere from blueberry mint to cucumber mint and old-fashioned to blood-orange. This place is great anytime of the season but I can definitely picture people coming in on a hot summer to cool off with some good eats such as the marketplace portion of watermelon radish, ahi tuna, snap peas, black sesame, ginger with a tall cup of watermelon rosemary lemonade.
The lemonade was not too sweet and just the right amount of sugar to keep your thirst quenched and wanting more. This restaurant will definitely require multiple trips because there is so much outstanding eats. The main hot seller is the marketplace dish where you get to pick your types of portions of goodness like the brussels sprouts, sherry, parmesan or the Israeli couscous, wild mushrooms, parmesan, lemon truffle or the sweet potatoes and pistachio.
There is so much its madness, good madness to fill up your stomach and want to walk it off on Venice Beach or go to Club Sleep! I am definitely coming back to try more Marketplace portions plus the semi-traditional sandwiches with soups and sweet looking salads. This place also has cakes, cupcakes, cookies and pie, oh my!
Everything is colorful, tasty and healthy. The menu is always changing like the seasons. Stepping into the Lemonade could be overwhelming but ask the friendly staff to guide you through the adventure. Do not be afraid to ask for samples to try before you get a portion.
This place is definitely a must if you are in the Venice area or simply want to take a drive for some fun hearty filling grub. The service is always met with great welcoming smile especially from Qwelle (probably misspelled it, sorry haha). Definitely stop in Lemonade for some good eats and check out their outstanding menu here.
