Sluggo’s Video Of The Day: Journey “Any Way You Want It”
This week I’m pointing out past mistakes KROQ has made and rubbing salt in the wound by actually posting the videos for those ‘what the hell were we thinking?’ songs. The source material for this painful tumble down memory lane is KROQ’s own yearly ‘Top 106.7 Songs of the Year’ lists (found at MEMORY PAIN).
As you check these lists yourself you’ll no doubt (hi Gwen!) be mortified to see we spun stuff by like “Passion” by Rod Stewart (one of the worst songs ever recorded actually), and you’ll wonder how it’s possible Bruce Springsteen was played enough on The Roq to make it song number 42 in 1980 and why we went so many cuts deep on Everclear (but barely touched “Heroin Girl” which is a bloody great song). Oh, wait, that was recent craziness.
Number 95 in 1980 is the most questionable though. Ladies and ladies, we gave you Journey. Yes, THAT Journey. No, seriously. Any way you wanted it.
