It’s the President’s Day edition of Nothin’ but the 90′s Weekend, and for this special event, we wanted your help with one very important question. What question, you may ask? Read on…

In the world of Rock, we often like to break down eras by the decade. Since Rock’s birth in the 50′s, every decade seems to have its unique identity, from the Psychedelic 60′s to the New Wave 80′s.

Every era has spawned countless classic bands, and the 90′s were no exception. Bands like, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Green Day, and Blink-182 (just to name a few) remain just as active and influential today as they were during the 90′s.

Using your input from past polls, we’ve taken the songs KROQ played during the decade and narrowed it down to an elite list of the top twenty-five songs of the 90′s. The question: Which song was the best/most defining?

The rest is now up to you. Take a look at the list below and vote for your favorite song. The poll will be open all weekend, and come Tuesday, we’ll find out which song will be named, “Best Song of the 90′s.”

Think you know which song will claim the throne? Vote and find out!

*Disclaimer – We’re completely aware that you’re going to say “Hey, where’s this song or that song?” We understand there’s no way to make everyone happy. Please keep the complaints to a minimum. – Your friendly web guy.

True, the list is missing some great songs. It also has a few good ones though, out of the given choices it was pretty tough to choose a “best”

lack of Rage is startling. Still, no song defines the 90′s for me the way that =w= ‘say it ain’t so’ does

I agree. Why isn’t Nine Inch Nails on here. You guys should’ve listed either “Closer”, “Hurt” or “March of the Pigs”. Those are the best compositions Trent Reznor ever wrote back in the ’90s.

You gotta be f**kin’ kidding me! No Faith No More? No Bad Religion? No Social Distortion? No Soundgarden? No Depeche Mode? Not even that song by Spacehog (what’s the name of it, oh yeah, “In the Meantime”)? What’s up with that, those bands released some “best/most defining” songs back in the ’90s. They all even helped shape my music.

Is this really a question? All good bands, but only one created a genre. (and spawned the Foos)
