Stryker’s Trip To Sydney For The Australian Open Of Surfing: Day 2 – High Speed Jetboats, Seaplanes And Local Breweries

All week long I’ll be blogging about our stay in Sydney for the Australian Open Of Surfing, which continues through this Sunday in Manly Beach.
[Gallery] Stryker In Australia Day 2:…The second day of our trip to Sydney was another breathtaking day. After grabbing breakfast with the crew, Stryker headed out for a jog around the piers and Sydney Opera House, which according to him was a 10/10 as far as scenery goes. It was Valentine’s Day, so myself and Adrian from KROQ promotions set off on our own adventure while Stryker headed out on his own incredible journey with his wife.
They hopped in a cab to Rose Bay where they boarded a small seaplane with a few other people. The seaplane took them to a very intimate place called Cottage Point Inn, where they had a romantic lunch to celebrate the special occasion. On their way, Stryker was able to capture some great photos of Sydney from up in the air.
Very happy to be back on the ground, but what a view from the sea plane. #Sydney is amazing. twitpic.com/8jznst—

While Stryker was out enjoying his time with his wife, Adrian and I headed over to the OZ High Speed Jetboat, which takes you through the Sydney Harbor and does crazy 270 degree spins and gets you completely soaked. We brought our new GoPro cameras to capture some of the action so you can see what I’m talking about.
Afterwards we all met up at the Triple M studios in Sydney, where Stryker is broadcasting from every day this week. The staff at Triple M has made us feel right at home, and sharing stories with them truly is amazing.

We then headed over to our next hotel, which is located across the street from where the Open is taking place. After relaxing for a few hours, we headed to dinner at the 4 Pines Brewery – one of Manly Beach’s best kept secrets. We met up with Jaron, the owner of the brewery, who immediately sat us down next to a group of some VERY attractive women and grabbed a round of beers for everyone.
Not only do they brew several of their own styles of beer, but they also have some pretty impressive food and are working on the world’s first SPACE BEER. Yes, space beer. Jaron explained that they are developing the first beer that will be ready for when consumer space travel becomes a possibility.

Space Beer... awww yeahhh
After several good beers and even better conversation, we headed back to the hotel and called it a night. Tomorrow we’re set to hit the Taronga Zoo early in the morning so we needed to rest up. Make sure to check back tomorrow to see photos and video of our trip to the zoo, it should be pretty dope!
