Sluggo’s Video Of The Day: Tubeway Army Feat. Gary Numan “Steel & You”

I’d have to say Mr. Gary Numan ( www.numan.co.uk ) has got to be one of my all time favorite KROQ performers – possibly because “Cars” was one of the first modern roQ/New Wave songs I ever ran into a bazillion years ago but also his overall sound has continued to intrigue and entertain me through the centuries.
His latest album “Dead Son Rising” (wonder what his daughter, who emailed me once at KROQ, which was quite cool, thinks of this title) released this past October has got some really good stuff on it, but since this is primarily a flashback feature here on the site I give you two from his way-back daze with the Tubeway Army.
“Steel & You” still sounds nice n’ modern (and could use a NIN or some such update, no?) and today you get a fairly rare DEMO version that’s been parked at YouTube as well as the video-clip-free classic song itself.
