Clint Eastwood in Chrysler's "Halftime in America" Ad

Without a doubt, one of the most memorable commercials played during this year’s Super Bowl had to be Chrysler’s “Halftime in America” spot.  In it, Clint Eastwood talks about America going through tough times, but coming out strong together in the end.

“Seems that we’ve lost our heart at times. The fog, the division, the discord and blame made it hard to see what lies ahead. But after those trials, we all rallied around what was right and acted as one. Because that’s what we do. We find a way through tough times, and if we can’t find a way, then we’ll make one.”

Although it was seen by most as an inspirational message about our country’s resilience, some Republicans like Karl Rove are up in arms, saying it was a sneaky pitch in support of President Obama.
