Members of Velvet Revolver – the supergroup featuring Slash, Scott Weiland, Dave Kushner, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum – seemed to have reconciled their differences for a one-off benefit show taking place January 12th at the House of Blues Sunset. The band split up in 2008 when Slash blamed Weiland for his “increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems.”
Other artists on the bill include Rage Against The Machine‘s Tom Morello, Maroon 5, Sheryl Crow, Fishbone, The Forest Rangers, Chantal Kreviazuk and a special appearance by Stephen Stills.
The show, Love You Madly: A Concert For John O’Brien, is a tribute to John O’Brien, who was a music supervisor and composer. O’Brien passed away in the summer of 2011 in a Chicago hotel room.
